What will the land be used for?
What is mostly growing there?
Are there trees you want to keep?
Are there old stumps already?
Roughly how big is the area?
What is the ground like?
Are any trees or brush touching or near overhead power lines?

What the answers change

The biggest question is what the land will become. Anything carrying a slab, driveway or parking needs clearing and grubbing in that footprint, while trails, views and fire breaks usually need only forestry mulching. Trees you want to keep point toward selective clearing. Wet ground, creeks, power lines and the town you are in add checks before work starts; the main guide to clearing land in North Texas covers each one, and Homestead Land Clearing confirms the method on the property walk.
